Ningbo-Jinhua Expressway is an important arterial road linking Ningbo, Shaoxing and Jinhua, which runs across the middle and eastern part of Zhejiang province. It has a full length of 185km and total investment of 7.52 billion RMB. It has been open to traffic on Dec. 28th, 2005. The whole line of Ningbo-Jinhua Expressway was constructed according to the standard of being completely shut-off and interchanges, expressway with four lanes. The construction of it helps realizing the strong combination of Jinhua as a hub of China land traffic and Ningbo as a port city whose cargo throughput ranks No. 2 in China. It makes the two cities 120 km shorter, advantages complemented and resources shared by each other. It has great significance in further improving the expressway network arrangement of Zhejiang province, fully playing the network scale benefit of state trunk lines, and prospering the sustainable economic development of the eastern and southwestern area of Zhejiang.
