Tongtu Highway starts at Minglou, Zhongxing Road, Jiangdong District, Ningbo, and ends ar Tongtu Road, Beilun. It has a full length of 18.684km, total investment of 300 million RMB. In accordance with standard of secondary highway construction for plain and hill (widened), the width of roadbed is 17.5m, width of pavement is 16m,designed driving speed is 80km/h, designed time limit is 15 years. The project completed at the end of 1996.

The construction of Tongtu Road has great significance in prospering the port construction of our city, developing the regional economy, improving traffic function and investment environment.
