Ningbo Yong River Tunnel is
located at the lower reaches of Yong River, which
is 17 km away from Ningbo downtown. It is the connection
project between Zhenhai Section and Beilun Section
of No. 329 State Highway. It is Zhangjian of Zhenhai
County in the north, linking with No. 79 Provincial
Highway and No. 329 State Highway; It is Jiangnan
Xiang of Beilun District in the south, linking with
the newly-built Jiangnan Road, straightly to Beilun
Port and Xiaogang Economic Development Zone. It has
a full length of 3822 meters, thereinto the length
of tunnel is 1019.5 meters. The design standard is
secondary highway with plain and hill, with the designed
driving speed of 60km/h, designed per traffic volume
of 5500, shut-off bi-directional two lanes, net width
of road surface of 7.5 meters, net width within the
tunnel is 10.2 meters, net height of 4.5 meters and
the total investment of 162.5 million RMBĦ£
The completion of Yong River Tunnel greatly shortens
the distance between Zhenhai and Beilun, prospering
the development of Xiaogang Economic Development Zone,
strengthening the materials distribution function
of Beilun Port, having great significance for the
economic development of Ningbo City and Yangtze River
Delta.
