Tongsan Expressway ( Ningbo Section ) had its final check and acceptance on September 4th, 2003. Tongsan Expressway ( Ningbo Section ) has a full length of 121 km and total investment of 4.5 billion Yuan. It is bi-directional expressway with four lanes, completely shut-off and interchanges, designed driving speed 120 km/h, 7 intersections along the expressway.

The completion of this project has great significance in improving the highway traffic network around the Yangtze River Delta and within Zhejiang province, playing a central role of Ningbo as a port city, as well as prospering the tourism development of Shanghai, Zhejiang and Suzhou.
