With the passing of time and revolution
of days, Ningbo Communications Investment Holdings Co., Ltd.
(NBCIH) has experienced a course of growth and evolution for
more than one decade. From its establishment to reorganization,
then being one of the authorized Ningbo state-owned assets management
companies, NBCIH on one hand continues to take the management
responsibility of finance and investment in Ningbo infrastructure
construction, on the other hand shoulders the arduous duty to
maintain and increase the value of state-owned assets. It is
a long way for us to go.
As a professional investment company for construction of traffic
infrastructures, NBCIH has played its leading and backbone role
in the construction of traffic infrastructures ever since its
establishment. Over more than one decade of its development,
with the great concern and energetic support of the Party committee
and government of Ningbo City, Ningbo Communications Bureau
and other relevant authorities, NBCIH has accumulatively input
a sum of RMB 8 billion yuan in the infrastructural construction,
built the traffic infrastructures in Ningbo with all its strength
in the light of high starting point, high standard and high
speed, thus become the pillar in Ningbo for transforming traffic
facilities. In the meantime, it has pushed forward the modernization
of traffic construction in Ningbo and accelerated the growth
of economy in Ningbo.
With the great effort of the whole company, brilliant achievement
was made in construction: Large projects such as Tongsan Expressway
(Ningbo Section), Yong River Tunnel, Ningbo Airport Highway,
No. 329 State Highway Ningbo Section and Cixi Section, Tongtu
Highway etc. completed one by one. Ningbo-Jinhua Expressway
has its all lines linked up by the end of 2005. These achievements
are the best repayment to the hard work of NBCIH staff. Of course,
except these completed projects, a series of national key projects
are aggressively under construction: NBCIH started investment
in Hangzhou Bay Sea-crossing Bridge and its South-shore Connection
in 2003, cooperated with Ningbo Lishe International Airport
to invest in Ningbo Airport Charter Flight Co., Ltd. in 2004,
cooperated with Zhejiang Communications Investment Company etc.
to invest in Zhoushan Island Connection project in 2005, exclusively
invested in Hangzhou-Ningbo Cannel project and participated
in Airport Logistics project in 2006. These performances not
only impelled the construction of Ningbo traffic infrastructure,
changed Ningbo traffic investment environment, but also greatly
improved the assets structure and quality of our company.
While basing itself upon the construction of great traffic,
NBCIH is also vigorously engaged in holding and participating
the equity of many industrial companies and operating capital
in many fields, where considerable profits have been received.
The company has steadily made progress with corporate strength
enhanced year by year, having the corporate scale been enlarged
to RMB 15.7 billion yuan today from the original RMB30 million
yuan at its establishment. This not only splendidly completes
its responsibility as an investment holdings company, but also
serves as a substantial foundation for further development of
our enterprise!
With the national system reform going in-depth and increased
investment in key traffic projects, a new age of economy is
pregnant with a new economic environment where there're coexistence
of opportunities and challenges and of difficulties and hopes.
How to ensure the national assets authorized and invested by
the state to maintain and rise in value in our future work and
how to make our corporate development keep pace with the advance
of the traffic construction in Ningbo are the long-term targets
for us to pursue for the present and the future.
Look back the past, we are full of pride and enthusiasm and
look into the future, we are full of confidence. We firmly believe
that the whole staff of NBCIH, encouraged and guided by the
significant thought of "Three Representatives" put forward by
the Party and under the great concern and energetic support
of the government and relevant departments at various levels,
